Every time someone opens your interview link and completes an AI conversation, ListenLand creates a new conversation record nested under that interview. Each conversation is an independent, multi-turn exchange between the respondent and the AI — they never see each other’s sessions, and each one is recorded separately. Your response inbox shows you every completed conversation across all your interviews, with the full record ready to review.

What’s captured

Each completed conversation includes: Transcript A full message-by-message record of everything said during the conversation, including both the respondent’s messages and the AI’s responses. Each message is timestamped. Audio recordings For voice-mode conversations, three audio tracks are stored: the respondent’s audio, the AI’s audio, and a combined mixed track you can play back end-to-end. Audio is also available for user speech in text mode when the respondent uses voice input. AI-generated title and summary When the AI wraps up a conversation, it automatically generates a short title (1–3 words capturing the topic) and a 2–3 sentence summary of what it learned. These appear in your inbox so you can scan responses at a glance without reading every transcript. Respondent info An optional name and email the respondent can provide on the pre-conversation screen. This is never required — anonymous responses are fully supported. Mode Whether the conversation took place in text or voice mode. The mode is set once when the conversation starts and never changes. Duration How long the conversation ran, in minutes and seconds.

Conversation status

A conversation moves through the following states:
In Progress → Complete
                Abandoned
StatusWhat it means
In ProgressThe respondent has started but hasn’t finished yet.
CompleteThe AI wrapped up naturally (all required questions covered) and the conversation was saved.
AbandonedThe respondent left before the conversation finished — for example, closing the tab mid-session.
Only Complete conversations appear in your response inbox. In Progress and Abandoned conversations are not shown in your main view.

Duration limit

Conversations have a hard cap of 20 minutes. When a session reaches the limit, it is automatically finalized. The 20-minute cap applies to both text and voice mode.
Audio recordings are available for all voice-mode conversations and as optional user audio in text mode.

Sharing

If you’ve enabled Public Conversations on the interview, each completed conversation gets its own shareable URL:
https://listen.land/c/[conversationId]
Anyone with this link can read the transcript and, for voice conversations, listen to the audio recording. Public sharing is off by default — enable it in your interview settings if you want respondents to be able to see each other’s responses after completing their own.
