Finding your link
Go to your interview’s dashboard page and click Copy Link. Your interview’s public URL follows this pattern:Sharing channels
The link works anywhere you can paste a URL. Common distribution channels:- Email — Paste the link directly in the body of an email. Works with any email client or newsletter tool — no embed code needed.
- Slack / Teams — Post to a channel or send as a direct message. The link previews cleanly and teammates can click straight through.
- Surveys — Embed as a link inside a Typeform, Google Form, or any other survey tool. Use it as a follow-up step after a screener question.
- Social / Forums — Share publicly on Twitter/X, Reddit, community forums, or LinkedIn for open feedback from a broad audience.
- QR code — Generate a QR code from any free QR tool (e.g. qr.io) and use it on event signage, printed materials, or presentation slides for in-person research.
- Embedded button — Link from a “Give Feedback” or “Share your thoughts” button inside your product, docs, or marketing site. Drop in a standard anchor tag pointing to the interview URL.
What respondents see
When a respondent opens your interview link, here’s what happens:- Landing page — They land on the interview start screen. No sign-up, no download, no ListenLand account required.
- Optional intro form — They can optionally enter their first name, last name, and email before starting. Providing this info is not required to begin.
- Mode selection — If your interview supports both text and voice, respondents can choose their preferred mode on this screen.
- The conversation — The AI greets them by name (if provided), introduces the topic in one sentence, and asks the first question. From there, it’s a natural back-and-forth.
- Completion — When the AI has covered what it needs to, it wraps up the conversation, thanks the respondent, and the session ends. If public conversations are enabled, respondents receive a link to their own transcript.
If your interview is set to Access Code mode, respondents will be prompted to enter the code before they can start. Make sure to share the code alongside the link — without it, respondents will be blocked at the entry screen.
